CILIP NW/LIHNN wider professional speakers programme - Paula Younger

Description:

In 2023 CILIP (The Library and Information Association) North West and LIHNN (Library and Information Health Network North West) are going to work in partnership to provide a free programme of speakers aimed at enhancing your understanding of the wider profession and the issues and concerns that it faces.

This programme will be offered virtually vis MS Teams. Sessions will last for 45 minutes including time for questions. The sessions are free and open to all members of the CILIP NW and LIHNN networks. They should be particularly useful to network members who are undertaking CILIP professional registration.

The second of our speakers is Paula Younger who will be leading a session entitled - “Health Literacy: Lessons Learned from a collaborative project between NHS and public libraries in Somerset”

Immediately before joining Bolton, Paula was the Primary Care Librarian for Somerset. She will be speaking about the experience of working in partnership with the Outreach Librarian at Somerset NHS Foundation Trust and Somerset Public Libraries to deliver an HEE-funded health literacy project. The focus will be on lessons learned, with consideration of how those lessons might inform her work in the north.

The MS Teams link for this session will be sent to you in advance of the talk taking place. If you haven't received the link by Wednesday 15th March 2023 then please email katie.nicholas@hee.nhs.uk
