Influencing for Success Session Group 1

Description:

These sessions are aimed at Library Managers who have already completed a previous session.

You must attend all 3 sessions

Overall Aims of the programme  

The purpose is to refresh and upskill team members so they adopt skills and behaviours which will inform and influence stakeholders on knowledge and library service (KLS) matters in a credible, persuasive way. An important outcome of the training will be the ability to get buy-in from colleagues through conveying the relevant context. 

By the end of the training, you will have reviewed and developed how you communicate with - KLS stakeholders and be able to:  

  • demonstrate an understanding and consideration of the context within which stakeholders are operating  
  • deliver key messages and analysis in a straightforward and engaging way  
  • use techniques to build engagement, trust and buy-in from different stakeholder groups, handling questions & objections in a positive, meaningful way  
  • present information and negotiate issues in a credible, confident manner
