Hello, my name is Tilly Dixon and I have recently joined the JET Library at Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust as a Digital Librarian.
I’m new to libraries, my background is in IT, working with large enterprise systems in private industry. My experience ranges from technical projects such as system installs, upgrades and database migrations, to more generic skills like content management and knowledge transfer. I have experience of corporate governance and am qualified in ITIL and internal quality audit.
This is such an exciting time for NHS libraries, there is huge scope and ambition for digital transformation, and I’m really looking forward to getting stuck into the recommendations of the Topol Review! Additionally, my remit is supporting the Quality Improvement Faculty where I hope my governance skills will be useful.
I’m a Mental Health First Aider, learning new stuff works for me and I try to encourage others to do the same, be it 10 minutes a day on a language app or formal learning. I also volunteer at my local library as an IT buddy to help spread the joy of tech 😊
I’m really looking forward to developing my new role here at MCHFT. I’ve been made to feel really welcome by the team at the JET library and am in awe of their breadth and depth of knowledge. I’m looking forward to meeting people from across the libraries network, if anyone would like to get in touch you can contact me here: tracy.dixon@mcht.nhs.uk
